Sunday Walk Candolim, Calangunte, Arpora, Baga, Calangunte Back Home

This Sunday we did a nice 10-mile road walk starting at Candolim, onto Calangute, Arpora, Baga, back into Calangute and then back home to Candolim.

For the last week Candolim Market has been the site for festival of Ganesh.  Unfortunately not able to see the effigy of Ganesh, as the Priest was already conducting his morning ceremony.

The best time to walk has to be early in the morning, when the weather is cool and not much traffic is on the road.  One thing to remember when you are walking on the roads in Goa, there are very few footpaths, and drivers are not pedestrian friendly.

And don't forget the cows!

Walking straight passed Calangute we walked on to Arpora is a small village, with a few shops and
restaurants, keeping going straight and then take a left that will lead you to Baga.

A lovely peaceful walk that takes you to Baga Creek.

Normally you can walk on the new main road that will take you into Baga, but as you can see works have stopped this for a while.

Now we are in Baga this is the time you need eyes in the back of your head, narrow roads, no pavements and crazy drivers.

Keep your eyes open there is always some cultural you can spot along the way. I love these pictures.

Then  to the mayhem of Calangunte Beach Road.

Before heading home.
