A great evening with friends at: David’s Diner, Manjung, Malaysia

Experience, authentic American fare without actually going there!
How can that be possible?

Well…  David’s Diner is the first American diner to open in Manjung, Malaysia.
From the moment you walk through the door of this contemporary, authentic American diner, smell the aromas from the grill, you could be in New York or California.
MR R and I were privileged to be asked to join our dear friends, to dine with them and their lovely family.

The menu has a wide selection of mouth-watering steaks, grilled chicken, seafood and pasta, you are really split for choice. Complemented by a reasonably priced menu.
You may gain a few pounds on your tummy, but you won’t feel the pinch in your wallet.

To start the meal we had a refreshing salad appetizer with Island Sea dressing. Very fresh and filling.

For main: MR R and I chose the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce. To accompany our chicken we had a choice 2 from the side dishes from the menu. Excellent could not fault any part of the meal.

Dessert yummy chocolate brownie and creamy ice cream, just right to finish a perfect dinner.

All in all, we had a really enjoyable evening.  David’s Diner was the perfect place for myself, Mr R and our friends to gather together and enjoy great company and a delicious meal.

The staff at David’s Diner Manjung were all very professional, polite, and friendly, from the host, waiting staff, kitchen staff, and head chef to the manager. Nothing was too much trouble and whatever asked, was always responded with a smile.
I unquestionably, recommend this diner.

Tua Pek Kong Temple Manjung Sitiawan, Malaysia

Tua Pek Kong Temple is located in the Manjung district of Perak, not far from Sitiawan and Lumut and a must visit in your itinerary, if like me you love temples.
Looking out to sea over the Straits of Malacca there is a row of giant white stone statues including, Tua Pek Kong himself, flanked by other deities, tigers, lions and monkeys.

There is an attractive landscaped garden with koi ponds, artificial rocks and more statues.

A large seated Buddha statue occupies pride of place in the centre of the temple.

There is a tunnel which you can walk inside through, were the interior walls are lined with panels illustrating scenes from The Ten Chambers of Hell, warning sinners of the gruesome fate which awaits them in the next world.

Like most temples there are no formal opening hours. There is no entrance fee although donations are most welcome and free parking.
