While back in the UK MR.R and I visited Newark–on–Trent, set
in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside.
With it’s rich history, wonderful architecture and bustling
market, Mr R and I found this to be a wonderful town. A great selection of
shops, a 12th century Castle that overlooks the River Trent, not to
forget the impressive medieval timber-framed buildings.
I would suggest if it is your first time in Newark to first
make your way to the Tourist information, here they have a great selection
self-guided walks, so not as to miss anything.
A great day out.
